Our apartment is located in a cozy village, a 10 minute drive from the beautiful city Cuenca. In the village you have everything you need live and work comfortably: a small supermarket, a typical Spanish bar, a pharmacy and a bakery that sells delicious goodies Monday-Sunday.
Surrounded by fields, in spring and early summer poppy seed flowers and sunflowers colour the village red and yellow.
The city center of Cuenca is declared UNESCO World Heritage and it's famous for its "Hanging Houses" or "Casas Colgadas". There is a bus connection to go to Cuenca several times per day.
If you have a car (or you rent one) you can explore the Serranía de Cuenca (mountains and forests), which are only a short 30 min drive away and usually not very touristy.
Cuenca is also famous for its rock walls, so it is a hub for rock climbers.
