1000 Homes Listed on Swaphouse! 💚💙
Exactly one year ago, we launched Swaphouse with a clear goal: to build a home swapping community where remote workers can travel, work, and live like locals, without the crazy costs of hotels or Airbnbs.
Fast forward to today, and we're super excited to share that we've hit a big milestone: the 1000th home listing!
A huge thank you to everyone who’s joined us and supported this journey. Here’s to many more swaps and adventures ahead!

Locate Home Swap Destinations on the Map
On Swaphouse we have homes listed all over the world—literally!
And while you probably know where cities like New York, London, and Sydney are located, smaller gems like Grohote (the oldest village on Croatia’s island of Šolta) or Tromsø (a small Arctic town in Norway and our most northern destination) might be harder to pinpoint on a map.
That’s why we’ve added Google Maps to every listing! You can now see where each home’s city or town is located on the map—zoom out to get the bigger picture or zoom in to explore the surrounding area.
We hope this makes finding your next home swap destination even easier. 🙏

Manage Your Likes and Passes Easily
We’ve added a new feature that makes managing your home swapping choices easier than ever! Now, you can quickly view all the homes you’ve liked or passed directly on the Explore page.
Plus, if you ever change your mind or accidentally click the wrong button, don’t worry—you can easily switch a ‘pass’ to a ‘like’ or vice versa with just a tap.
We hope this update makes it even quicker and easier for you to find the perfect home swap.

See Who Liked Your Home Listing 💚️
We’re excited to introduce a new feature designed to help you connect faster and easier with potential home swap matches! 🎉
On the new ‘Match Requests’ tab, you can now see who has liked your home listing. This means more visibility and a better chance of making meaningful connections!
🔍 How it works:
- When someone likes your home listing, and you haven’t liked or passed theirs yet, their home will appear in your new ‘Match Requests’ tab on the Explore page
- Quickly view potential matches who already showed interest in your home
- Simply like back to create a match, start a conversation and plan your next home swap!

Messages Now Sorted by Recency
Previously, your messages were sorted randomly, which didn’t make much sense (unless you enjoy mystery puzzles). We've fixed that! Now, the most recent conversations with your matches will appear at the top, so no more searching for your latest messages.
This feature should have been here from the start, but hey, better late than never! ✌️

Rediscover Homes You Passed Before
We've listened to your feedback and are excited to introduce a new way to explore homes on Swaphouse — not just the new listings but also those you might have passed before.
Now, if you've ever passed on a listing but later wanted a second look, or if you accidentally clicked ‘pass’ instead of ‘heart’, this new option makes it possible to revise your choices. Simply select 'New + Passed Homes' from the 'Filters' menu on the Explore page to give these homes another chance.

Enhance Your Profile: Showcase Your Professional Side
Understanding who you're swapping homes with is crucial, which is why we've introduced a feature allowing you to share details about your professional life. You can now add your job title, company, and the number of days you work from home to your profile.
To use it, simply log into your account, go to the Profile page, and enter your professional details. This information will be displayed on your home listing page, helping to build a stronger connection with potential home swappers on Swaphouse.

Sort Your Matches: By Newest or Availability
We've just made it easier for you to organize your matches on Swaphouse. You now have the flexibility to sort your matches by two key criteria: 'Newest' and 'Availability'.
✨ Sort by Newest:
Opt for the 'Newest' option, and you'll see the most recent matches right at the top of your list. This means no more scrolling through your existing matches to spot the new ones.
🗓️ Sort by Availability:
On the other hand, sorting by 'Availability' organizes your matches based on their available dates for a home swap. This streamlines the planning process, making it straightforward to see who's available for a swap in the upcoming months.

Test & Verify Your Wi-Fi Speed
We've all been there, excitedly booking a hotel room or Airbnb that promises "fast" Wi-Fi, only to arrive and discover the internet crawls slower than a snail. Especially for remote workers, this isn't just inconvenient; it's a deal-breaker.
That's why we're excited to introduce a new feature: the 'Wi-Fi Speed Test'! This feature empowers all homes listed on Swaphouse to showcase their actual download and upload speeds, ensuring potential home swappers know exactly what to expect before they arrive.
Here’s how it works: Log in and navigate to the 'WFH' section of your Home Listing, select the 'Conduct a Wi-Fi speed test' option, and hit the 'Start Speed Test' button.
Once you've run the test, the results will be displayed right on your home listing page, complete with a Wi-Fi checkmark badge to confirm those speeds are real. Not only does this elevate the appeal of your listing, it also brings in a wider pool of home swappers, drawn by the reliability of your verified Wi-Fi speeds.

In just under two months, we've hit a milestone with our 100th home listing on Swaphouse! 🎉 To help you find the right home faster, we've rolled out a new ‘Filters’ feature.
You can find this feature on the Explore page and you can use it to quickly find homes that match your needs - from preferred continents to the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Planning a trip with your pet or need high-speed Wi-Fi? Just set your criteria, and you're good to go!

Share your availability
We're excited to announce the 'Availability' feature, now live on Swaphouse! Easily communicate when you and your home are open for swapping. Here's how:
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Navigate to the Availability page.
- Select your start date, then the end date.
- Click on “Add availability.”
- Add as many periods as you like.
Your availability will be showcased on your home listing page, making it easy for potential swappers to find times that work for them. Happy swapping! 🏡✨

Reorder photos
Good news, Swaphouse users! Responding to your requests, we've introduced a new feature: Reorder Photos. Showcase your home just the way you want. Here’s how:
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Go to your Home Listing.
- Click on the Photos section.
- For any photo, click on the 3 dots.
- Choose to move the photo forward or backward.
The new order will be instantly updated on your home listing page, allowing you to present your home at its best. Start rearranging now for a more personalized touch! 🖼️🏠
