Peaceful apartment over the rrofs of the city

Our apartment is located in a beautiful Croatian stone building and offers a backyard with lush greenery to sit and relax in. The place has a fully equipped kitchen (we love to cook, so you´ll find everything from baking necessities, a pasta machine, mokka pot and potato ricer to our red KitchenAid) with a dining table and a comfy sofa, two bedrooms, a living room with a pull out sofa and AC, a small bathroom with shower and window and an office with two working spaces. Free street parking is available very close to the apartment. The place is located in Rijeka´s historic neighborhood Trsat, which towers high above the city´s roofs. A set of 560 stairs (aka a 15 to 20 minute walk) connects you to the city centre and the sea, but you can also take the bus. The charming old castle of Trsat is a minute away and a bunch of restaurants, cafés, ice cream parlors, bakeries and bars are within a 5-minute radius when you walk slowly. The city´s most popular beaches can be reached by foot in about 20 min, by car in 7 min. The bus stop is 50 metres away from our front door. The bus runs every 20 minutes between 5 AM and 11.45 PM. There are lots of free parking spaces around the apartment and you can also use uber or Bolt in the city. From the beach to the apartment it´ll be between 7 and 10 €. Trsat is the liveliest part of Rijeka but looks like a cute village. When the sun is out (aka ALL THE TIME) all of Rijeka drives up here and enjoys themselves in the many cafés, bars and restaurants. The entry to the castle is free and you can just take a bottle of wine there, order a pizza and enjoy the breathtaking view over the city. Trsat also has a busy university campus with lots of events (like open air movies, parties, etc.), a beautiful old cemetery and lots of parks and greenery.
