This house is at the edge of a beautiful large park. It has 4 comfortable bedrooms, one king bed, one full, one twin (with a trundle) and another with twin bunk beds and a trundle. With two 9-foot couches and 2 additional floor mattresses, bringing the total to 13. If you will sleep more than 6, please let us know.
The Chief Seattle Trail is 1-block from the house with a stunning view of Mount Rainier and the home has easy access to Seattle's Light Rail and bus system. The stunning Kubota garden is just 10 minutes away via car.
The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, full pantry and everything you could possibly need, including multiple kinds of coffee machines to make your favorite Seattle-style americanos or espresso. There is also a Vitamix blender to prepare smoothies and soups.
The dining room has a gorgeous mahogany table imported from Nicaragua and it seats 8-10 people.
The living room has a cozy ambiance and is perfect for end-of-day drinks and recounting the day's adventures and joys.
A large finished basement, always cool in the summer, which includes a game table, two couches, a bean bag and a television with Roku, Netflix and Amazon Prime. It also has an Xbox and Wii (but no cable or satellite).
We have basketballs, soccer balls, bocce ball, baseball gloves, bats and balls, frisbees and many, many board games.
We have a hammock in our cute front yard with a tea table. We also have a covered back porch and a patio with umbrella, table and chairs. Our hot tub can fit 4-6 people. Our garden plot two blocks away will have fresh produce for you to harvest if you stay in July through September.
One seven-passenger vehicle and one five-passenger vehicle may be available - let's discuss. We have two small, hypoallergenic dogs that we will remove during your stay.
Seattle is the 5th most visited city by other people from the United States. When you consider the wonders of Seattle in addition to the other natural wonders and world-class cities that are less than 3 hours away, its fun and beauty has no end.
PS: If you have very young children, there are two baby gates and a Pack and Play portable crib available. Note that the pictures of the home were taken just before we bought it in 2022. The house now includes upgrades in furniture (per comments above) and paint along with amenities not seen in pictures (but are noted above).
What you will love about this neighborhood
Pike Place Market, the Ferris Wheel and the original Starbucks are easily accessible via light rail and bus. A car puts you at 10-15 minutes from these major attractions. The Space Needle is just a few minutes further. All of Seattle's favorite sites are within easy reach. So is the Olympic peninsula and the Cascade Mountains. Are you traveling with kids? When you step outside our front door, you are a very short stroll to a city park with summer kiddie pool. A library is 1-block away. A playground is 2 blocks away. A grocery store and restaurants are 8 blocks away. Enjoy a walk on the Chief Sealth trail (1 block away!) with its views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier. Take a jog on the same trail and you'll encounter beautiful views of downtown and the Olympic and Cascade mountains.
