Overlooking one of the best piazza's / praca's

Our stylish apartment on the third (top floor) of a classic old Lisbon building in the best and most sought out location in all of historic Lisbon - Principe Real. With a balcony overlooking Praça Largo Agostinho da Silva and Praça das Flores. Wonderful and lively praça's/piazza's where locals attract to sit on a bench with a class of wine or ice cream with friends and dogs. Surrounded by the trendiest bars and restaurants (including a few top Michelin rated ones), a weekly large organic market, parks and breathtaking view points (there are 7 famous view points in Lisbon) within 10min walks. Perfect for your morning cafe or a drink at the end of the day. We are both creative and musical people and so our home has a good collection of vinyl, guitars (electric and acoustic) and a banjo for you to enjoy and is designed stylishly with eclectic and vintage unique finds making it a comfortable home away from home. The second room is used as an office and can also be used as a second bedroom for a child. The lounge has an L shaped velvet sofa, a small bar, and a dining room table which can be extended to be made larger if you have guests. You can see in the photos how we can move the table into the second bedroom / office for a different configuration for you if you wish. We also have a large beanbag as well as another chair and footstool. You have an option of using the main lights or a mixture of small dim warm lights which are scattered throughout which we prefer. In the warmer months we keep the lounge windows open and put up a seating area with pillows. Works well if you’re not so tall. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Nespresso machine, filter coffee plunger / French press and a bialetti. The stove is gas, we have a food processor, mixer and rice cooker and even though the kitchen is small, it has enough space and is cleverly designed to cook well. With of course, a dishwasher. As per most traditional Portuguese homes, there is a washing line outside from the bathroom for you to hang out your laundry and there is also a laundromat within a 3min walk from the apartment. The upstairs bedroom is beautiful and bright with two skylights and covered in wood panelling. We have a writers desk and chair in the bedroom too and serves as a second working space. We also have a silversmith bench which is out of bounds (for your safety!). Plenty of closet space The bathroom has a bath with shower over it and the toilet also has a bidet attachment and there is a small room with bins for recycling. Opposite the entrance of the building are large bins. The apartment is not cold in winter nor hot in the summer. As per all old Portuguese homes in Lisbon, we recommend opening up the large doors to the balcony once a day for a short bit of time to allow fresh air to flow through as these typically old buildings can attract mould without regular fresh air. We have a few plants which will need a bit of your care and our internet is super fast at about 600MB. I’m an open water swimmer and swim in many of the stunning beaches close to Lisbon every week (15-30min drive from the apartment) and thankfully, Lisbon is one of the cheapest cities in Europe for Uber and Bolt and there are also an abundance of scooters and bicycles all around the apartment too. The beach of Lisbon is about a 25min walk away, a much quicker drive, and there are many paid parking lots all around. We are ideally looking for home swops of a minimum of one month and up to three months. Maybe more. We’re also cat people so a bonus if we can look after your cat/s.
