My apartment is in Vienna’s 15th district, just a 5-minute walk from Westbahnhof and Mariahilfer Straße – one of the city’s most famous shopping streets. You can get to the city center in no time, and Schönbrunn Palace is also only one tram ride away. The flat is tucked inside a former brewery that now houses a hotel, restaurant, and residential building. Once you’ve climbed up to the 4th floor (no elevator, so you’ll get your daily workout in), you’ll find a bright, cozy, and friendly apartment with a spacious kitchen, a combined living/sleeping/working area, and a bathroom. There's a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, where cooking is especially fun in the late afternoon as the sun goes down outside. There's also a hi-fi system with a small record collection... from souly and funky stuff to classic rock and stoner rock, plus some classical and a few hidden gems, there's quite a bit to dig through. There's a projector you're welcome to use for cozy nights in. I absolutely love living here – it’s got a special kind of calm and charm. Hope you’ll feel just as at home as I do! ________ ABOUT THE CITY In summer, you can head to the Schönbrunn outdoor pool or the beautiful Danube island for a swim, or check out the Badeschiff, which has a pool right on the river. (In winter, that same spot turns into a place for ice bathing and sauna sessions.) In spring and autumn, when the weather's milder, it's perfect for exploring – one of Vienna's gorgeous museums, a Wiener Stadtwanderweg (city hiking trail - we also have traditional Viennese wine taverns), or wandering through bars, restaurants, old cinemas, and the city's history-steeped corners. Vienna is the perfect size – you can easily explore the city center in an afternoon. It's even quicker if you hop on the Ringstraße tram, which takes you comfortably past loads of sights along the way. That said, I'd be more than happy to help you plan and give you a few tips!
