We live in a great neighborhood just north of Downtown Seattle called Ballard. It's a 10-min walk to a nice park with a sweeping view of Puget Sound. It's a five minute drive or 25 minute walk down to the beach. The neighborhood of Ballard has numerous and varied restaurants, bars, music venues, shops, and gyms. Every Sunday we have a vibrant Farmer's Market in old Town Ballard. There are beautiful walking trails close by in Carkeek Park and Discovery Park (in the city but feel like you're out). Our block is quiet and safe and very walkable with sidewalks and curb cut-outs. It's an easy drive to get to the mountains and close-by ferries can take you to many gorgeous Puget Sound Islands including, Bainbridge, Vashon, Whidbey and Victoria B.C. Our home was build in 1921 in the Craftsman Style. The front yard is landscaped and has a fountain. The back yard has a deck with a barbecue and comfy chairs plus a fire pit and raised vegetable garden. And another fountain (we like them). We have a small detached garage. The main floor features a living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and two bedrooms. The front bedroom is currently being used as a cozy, light-filled sitting room, but can easily be converted back to a bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked and has a dishwasher. The basement has another bedroom with an attached bathroom, a TV room with surround-sound, a wide open office space and a washer/dryer.
