Bright family home near the center of Leeuwarden

Our bright corner home is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Cammingaburen in Leeuwarden. It is a green and friendly area with lots of water, parks and walking paths nearby. A small shopping centre is just a few minutes away on foot, which makes everyday things very easy while still feeling quiet and relaxed. Leeuwarden is the capital of Friesland and a charming historic city with canals, museums, cafés and restaurants. It is a great place for cycling and exploring the north of the Netherlands. The city centre is about 10 to 15 minutes away by bike. From here you can also easily explore the Frisian lakes or visit the Wadden Sea. Amsterdam is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away by train or car, so it is very doable as a day trip. We moved into the house about a year ago and have already done quite a bit of work inside to make it a comfortable and welcoming home. The living room is bright and spacious, and currently has windows, but these will soon be replaced with sliding doors. The open kitchen with a bar is one of our favourite spots in the house and a great place for breakfast, coffee or chatting while cooking. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, the spare bedroom currently has a single bed that can be converted into two singles, and the third room is set up as a walk-in closet with plenty of storage. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink and a second toilet. The attic is a large bright space with a big roof window and a side window. It is mainly used for laundry and extra space, and this is where you will find the washer and dryer. There are currently no beds in the attic. The west facing backyard is a nice place to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. Since we focused mainly on renovating the inside after moving in, the garden is still quite simple but it is a great place to relax or have dinner outside. Our home is on a quiet street with easy parking nearby, and within walking distance of shops, playgrounds and a sports park.
