Renovated Creekfront Oasis: Steps to Wilderness Trails, Minutes to Downtown Welcome to My Home It has been completely renovated to be clean, modern, and full of natural light. My home is smoke-free and located on a quiet residential cul-de-sac in Missoula’s desirable Upper Rattlesnake neighborhood—a peaceful valley named for the beautiful Rattlesnake Creek that runs through it. King master suite plus two queen bedrooms - you can hear the creek from all of them. Three full baths. Inside, the main level has a bright, open floor plan. It features a contemporary style with clean lines, a gas fireplace, a functional mudroom, a dedicated office, and brand-new kitchen appliances. Downstairs, the finished basement doesn't feel like a basement at all—large egress windows keep it bright and filled with light. It has its own comfortable living area, laundry room with new appliances, and a second dedicated desk setup. If you are working remotely or writing, you will have plenty of quiet space. The outdoor areas are my favorite part of the house. You can sit on the front porch with a book, or head to the private backyard and patio. A mountain creek flows right through the property, bordering a protected natural riparian area where wildlife often passes through. Because there is almost no light pollution here, the stargazing is spectacular—especially from the hot tub! I have mature apple and pear trees right next to the house. What's Included: The Grounds: Private patio, outdoor hot tub, fruit trees, flower garden, and peaceful creekfront views. Workstations: High-speed Wi-Fi with two distinct, quiet office spaces perfect for remote work or research. Appliances & Comfort: Brand-new kitchen and laundry appliances. High-quality furnishings, cookware, and linens are all provided. Parking & Transit: One dedicated parking bay inside a covered garage, plus a large circular drive that offers plenty of additional off-street parking. The home is just two blocks from Missoula’s FREE city bus line, which takes you straight downtown or to the University of Montana. Logistics & Pets: Seasonal lawn care and professional winter snow plowing for the driveway can be easily arranged based on final terms. Well-behaved pets are negotiable on a case-by-case basis. The Neighborhood & Trail System If you love the outdoors but also value city amenities, this location is paradise. 73+ Miles of Trails & Skiing: The neighborhood borders the Rattlesnake National Recreation Area and Wilderness. Super close access: ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and XC skiing, from short loops to 40+ mile trips. Plus, you are just 30 minutes from Montana Snowbowl ski area and 90 minutes from Ski Discovery. Convenience: The home is less than 10 minutes from Missoula's vibrant downtown, the University of Montana, groceries, shopping, and restaurants. Closer to home, you are just a short trip from a great neighborhood market and eatery. World-Class Fly Fishing: Minutes from the Clark Fork River, which flows through downtown Missoula. It's just a short drive to the legendary blue-ribbon trout waters of the Bitterroot River, Blackfoot River, and Rock Creek. These waterways are also wonderful for rafting and floating. Pineview Park: Short walk to a beautiful city park with a playground, tennis and basketball courts, an ice skating rink, and wooded trails. Music & the arts: Missoula punches above its weight. Catch national tours at the riverside KettleHouse Amphitheater, indoor shows at the historic Wilma, or stadium acts at the university. Getting to shows is effortless. The city also features its own symphony, choral groups, and a busy theater scene anchored by the Montana Rep and Missoula Children's Theatre. We have two art museums, several galleries, and the ZACC community arts center. What I am Looking For I am a single professional/academic looking for a seamless, mutually respectful arrangement for the Fall Semester (~August 29 – December 19) while I spend the season in New York City. I am highly flexible on both ends of these dates and am very open to shorter stays of 1+ months. I am seeking a comfortable, clean 1-bedroom (or more) space in NYC (Manhattan preferred, but Brooklyn is also an option). My Missoula home is a perfect fit for a solo occupant or a couple, and its three-bedroom layout also accommodates a family or occasional weekend guests.
