Villa Verano is a recently built, architect-designed villa on two floors, with large windows, light-filled rooms and a spacious open-plan living and kitchen area. Outside you'll find a private pool, a sunny garden, a barbecue, a lounge area behind the house with an outdoor pool table and darts — and a large roof terrace with sun loungers and mountain views. The house offers guests four bedrooms and two bathrooms, with comfortable beds for eight. The entire property is fenced and gated — safe for the children, and reassuring to leave behind when you're out exploring. The villa sits in a quiet, modern residential area of Finestrat, with the majestic Puig Campana mountain (1,406 m) as its closest neighbour. You stay somewhere calm and sheltered — with the whole pulse of the Costa Blanca just down the hill. Nearby Puig Campana Golf is five minutes away, with several more courses within half an hour. The area is also one of Europe's most popular winter training grounds for road cycling. The Costa Blanca's most iconic mountain rises right behind the villa. Trails for every level start in Finestrat — from easy loops to the 1,406 m summit with panoramic views of the coast. Drive ten minutes and you're on Benidorm's Levante or Poniente beach, with miles of golden sand, promenades and restaurants. Levante and Poniente rank among Spain's finest city beaches, with fine sand and calm water. The small bay of Cala de Finestrat is closest, with a relaxed, local feel.Close to the villa you'll also find a shopping centre with supermarkets and restaurants for everyday needs. Finestrat's charming old village, its colourful houses clinging to the mountainside, is a short drive away. Terra Mítica (theme park), Aqualandia (water park), Mundomar and Terra Natura are all within a fifteen-minute drive — a full holiday week of fun for the kids. The spectacular mountain village of Guadalest, with its clifftop castle, and the turquoise Algar waterfalls make a classic day trip — around 30–40 minutes by car. The tramline from Alicante to Benidorm is located at the La Marina shopping centre a few minutes drive from the house. Along the tramline small towns are at your feet: The artists' town of Altea with its whitewashed lanes, and Villajoyosa with its colourful fishermen's houses and chocolate museum, make perfect half-day outings along the coast. From the harbour town of Dénia, under an hour away, fast ferries sail to Ibiza and Mallorca — putting the Balearics within reach for a tempting day trip or overnight escape. Alicante, the capital of the Costa Blanca tempts with the palm-lined Explanada promenade, the Santa Bárbara castle perched above the city, tapas bars and shopping — forty-five minutes by car, or hop on the tram if you prefer not to drive. Spain's third-largest city and the birthplace of paella is a ninety-minute drive north — a perfect day trip to the City of Arts and Sciences, the old town and the city beaches. From Valencia you can take the train to Barcelona in under three hours. The Costa Blanca enjoys one of Europe's most agreeable climates. Winters are mild and sunny — ideal for longer stays — while summer brings steady warmth, evening sea breezes and swimming temperatures well into October.
