Casa Nīra is a house hidden in a mango forest on the quiet edge of La Saladita, ten minutes from one of the longest, gentlest waves in Mexico. It was built for slowness: thick walls, arched windows, and rooms that fold open onto the trees, in a language drawn from Mexican craft and Japanese restraint. Days here keep their own rhythm: an early surf, a long lunch, the light moving slowly across the floor. Come to rest, to work quietly, or to disappear for a while, the house is made to hold all three. Inside, the house is made for both stillness and long stays. Two bedrooms each keep their own bathroom and their own entrance, so a group of up to three can share the house without sharing every hour of it. Its heart is an open lounge where the windows fold fully away and the arched openings draw the forest and the light straight in. The kitchen is large and properly equipped, a full oven, and a washing machine on site with an island that doubles as a place to eat or to work.
