Your Peaceful Home in Rome – Green Garden Views, Comfort & Ancient Roman History
Discover the magic of Rome while enjoying the comfort, tranquillity and authentic atmosphere of a real Italian family home.
Welcome to our lovely 74 m² apartment in Settecamini, a peaceful residential neighbourhood in eastern Rome.
If you're dreaming of exploring the Eternal City but would also appreciate somewhere quiet, comfortable and welcoming to return to at the end of the day, our home could be a wonderful choice.
We're a family of three with an 8-year-old son, and this is our much-loved everyday home. We've created a comfortable environment where we enjoy spending time together, relaxing and escaping the noise of the city.
We would be delighted to share it with another family through a reciprocal home exchange.
A Comfortable Home for Your Roman Holiday
Our apartment is particularly well suited to a couple or a family with a child, offering the comforts and practical amenities needed for an enjoyable stay, especially during Rome's warm summer months.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
There are two separate bedrooms:
- A master bedroom with a double bed.
- A small, cosy children's bedroom, ideal for a young guest.
There is also a main bathroom and a separate guest toilet with a washbasin, offering extra convenience for families.
Everything You Need for a Comfortable Stay
Our home includes:
- Air conditioning to keep you comfortable during the Italian summer.
- A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher.
- A washing machine and tumble dryer, especially useful for longer stays.
- A boiler providing hot water.
- Lift access to the apartment.
- A private garage and an additional parking space.
- A lovely private balcony overlooking the communal garden.
Whether you're preparing breakfast before heading into Rome, enjoying a quiet evening at home or simply relaxing after a full day of sightseeing, you'll have the conveniences of a real home rather than a typical holiday rental.
Our Favourite Feature: A Balcony Surrounded by Greenery
One of the most special things about our apartment is its peaceful atmosphere.
Our balcony overlooks a beautiful communal garden filled with trees and greenery. It's a lovely place to start the morning with a coffee, enjoy the fresh air or relax on a warm summer evening.
Despite being in Rome, our home feels wonderfully peaceful. In the mornings, you can often hear birds singing rather than the noise of busy city streets.
After a day exploring Rome's monuments, museums and lively neighbourhoods, coming back to this calm environment is something we particularly appreciate.
A Fascinating Connection to Ancient Rome
Something that makes our location particularly interesting is the ancient Roman archaeological area immediately next to our building.
Settecamini has historical connections to the ancient Via Tiburtina, one of the roads linking Rome with the surrounding region.
The nearby archaeological remains add a unique historical character to the neighbourhood, reminding visitors that Rome's remarkable past extends far beyond its famous city-centre monuments.
The archaeological area is adjacent to our residential complex, although public access should not be assumed.
Enjoy an Authentic Roman Neighbourhood
Our apartment is situated in Settecamini, a residential area away from the busiest tourist streets.
Here you can experience a quieter side of Roman life while having useful everyday services close at hand.
Just steps from our home:
- A Lidl supermarket, ideal for groceries, fresh food and everyday essentials.
- A pharmacy.
- A nearby bus stop connecting to Rebibbia Metro Station (Line B) in approximately 10 minutes.
From Rebibbia, Rome's metro network provides access to major areas of the city, including connections towards the Colosseum and Termini Station.
Our home is not within walking distance of the historic centre, so visitors should plan to use public transport or a car. We believe in being transparent about the location so our exchange partners can plan their stay comfortably.
The Freedom to Explore Rome and Beyond
Rome is a city that rewards exploration, whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to discover more.
Spend your days exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Vatican Museums and the beautiful streets of Trastevere.
Enjoy traditional Italian food, discover local markets, visit museums or simply wander through historic neighbourhoods.
For families with children, Rome offers plenty of opportunities to combine history, culture, parks and fun activities.
If you're planning a longer stay, you can also explore destinations beyond the city, including Tivoli and the surrounding Lazio region.
Having a private garage and an additional parking space is especially convenient if you plan to bring or rent a car.
Ideal for a Longer Family Stay
We believe our apartment is particularly suitable for guests who want to spend more than just a few days in Rome.
With two bedrooms, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and convenient local shopping, you can settle in and enjoy everyday life without the limitations of a hotel room.
The lift, private parking and quiet residential setting add to the convenience.
Our home is best suited to respectful guests who appreciate a peaceful environment and will look after it as carefully as we look after theirs.
A Little About Us and Our Exchange Plans
We are an Italian family of three, including our 8-year-old son.
We love the idea of home exchanging because it allows families to discover new places in a more authentic and personal way, while sharing the homes they care about.
We speak English and would be happy to communicate directly with our exchange partners, share local recommendations and help them prepare for their stay in Rome.
We are looking for:
- A reciprocal home exchange for approximately from a minimum of 14 days to full month in August 2027.
- Flexible dates throughout August.
- A home suitable for two adults and one child.
- We like London and Other European capitals, including Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin and Vienna.
- We are also open to interesting opportunities in major American cities.
We are happy to consider homes outside city centres, provided they have convenient public transport connections.
Our Home, Your Home
We understand that exchanging homes is based on mutual trust and respect.
We would treat your home with the same care and consideration that we expect for ours.
We kindly ask guests to respect our neighbours, avoid parties or excessive noise and leave the apartment clean and tidy.
We hope our home can become your peaceful base for discovering Rome, creating family memories and experiencing the Eternal City at your own pace.
If you're considering a trip to Rome in August 2027, we'd love to hear from you and explore the possibility of a wonderful home exchange!
