Our home is a classical Dutch terraced house from 1799.
On the ground floor you find a workstation at the entrance, where two people can work. We’re both working from home often - so the chairs are comfortable and there are two screens.
There’s a small bedroom (the one with the green wall and sleds) with a queen-sized (1,40*2,00) bed. This room is the coolest in winter - but also in summer it’s comfortably fresh.
In the back there is our laundry room (yellow wall and big fitted shelves) with a dryer and washing machine. Also, one of our two bathrooms is located here, it’s equipped with a shower and vent.
After you climb the original stairs to the second floor, you enter the living area. Here we have a big dining table (you can even extend it if needed) and our comfy couches, right in front of our pellet stove. If you feel like having a movie night, you’re welcome to use our projector!
The kitchen is small but has everything you might need: 6 stoves, a huge oven, microwave, kitchen robot, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Of course you’ll find spices, oil, vinegar, tea, and coffee here.
One more flight of stairs to climb to get to the top floor. Here we have a small terrace with two rocking chairs and a bench. You’ll find two rooms, the master bedroom with a king-size box spring bed (1,80*2,00) that you can electrically adjust if you want to read or watch TV.
There is one more bedroom with a bed that you can use as a single bed or king-size bed (0,80*2,00 / 1,60*2,00). If you pull it out this room is quite full, so it might be the least comfortable - but most silent one.
There’s a separate toilet and a second bathroom with another shower.
All rooms are equipped with radiators (besides the downstairs bedroom), and light-blocking curtains. All duvets are antiallergic and besides the box spring bed in the master bedroom, all beds are equipped with anti-allergic anti-dust mite covers.
A cozy, old, Dutch house also means steep stairs - so sadly our space is not barrier-free or suitable to carry up a stroller. In general we have no problems with hosting families - but our home is not childproof with the stairs and the way how it is furnished.
