I live in the very popular "Schillerkiez" in an old building flat with a nice balcony. Around this area you are perfectly connected to all districts in Berlin and everything is reachable within 20-40 mins by metro (U8). A lot of bars with occasional live music, nice restaurants and almost next to the Tempelhofer Feld, my favorite place.
I live here on my own but used to stay here with my ex-partner as well, so the flat is indeed suitable for a couple staying here.
It is equipped with everything you need for daily life including a washdryer.
