Dynamite Historic Central Gardens Home

Built in 1908 by the architect as his family home in Midtown Memphis' most desirable neighborhood, Central Gardens. Central Gardens is considered the crown jewel of the beautiful, historic midtown Memphis, and no wonder; It's got gorgeous historic homes and the beautiful uniquely southern landscapes have collectively been deemed a level 3 Arboretum by the state of Tennessee. Central Gardens is a wooded, blooming wonderland in the spring and fall, yet we are less than a 10 minute drive to downtown and the mighty Mississippi River. The house is just a pleasure to live in. You'll love it's light filled living room, gracious dining room, fully stocked kitchen and small office space off the living room. The original woodwork, oversized front porch and deck with outdoor kitchen and hot tub are our favorite details of this historic charmer, but there's so much more to love. The primary BR is dreamy and spacious with a king sized bed, two dressers and a nice sized closet. A small room off the primary has a Precor elliptical trainer. A 2nd bedroom has a double bed and antique family furniture. A third bedroom is being used as a rec-room/den with tv, stereo, eclectic collections and decor. The home still has the original carriage house which is currently rented by a family member. This means there will be someone to help us if anything unforeseen comes up, as happens now and then with any house. Happily there is separation between the two homes with a beautiful garden designed by landscape architect Todd Breyer.
