I rent the first floor in a just-renovated house that offers high comfort of living. It is located in the small town of Idrija, which has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List with its history. The capital of Slovenia (Ljubljana) is a 1-hour bus ride away, as well as the coast. Idrija and its surroundings are very beautiful for hiking, walking and cycling. It is a very suitable place for a quiet vacation. In the summer it is possible to swim in the river, and in the winter months you can ski at the nearby ski resort.

It was my first experience on SwapHouse and even in house exchange... What a mistake not doing that sooner ! We did a synchronised swap so Martina was on my appart when I was in her house. So I was welcomed by Martina's husband, Egon. I could not dream better welcome.. Egon spent time for me : he show me all Idrija's surroundings, he cooks (well!) for me, we talked a lot on many subjects... I immediatly felt good in Idrija charmant and typical Slovenian city... Martina is an amazing wooman...Dynamic, open-minded, happy to live, looking for news adventures... We both shared suggestions on real time about our places (activities, interresting points...). I think we was on "miror life", she was on my life and me on his... swap life may too... Martina and Egon's house is perfect: cozy, well placed, ! We can found all to live as a prince... the underfloor heating is really cool ! More than a swap, I met a new culture, new people who are now friends...
