I live in an open-plan 1-bedroom apartment in Brixton, South London.
It has a long balcony overlooking a green space. A short walk from all that Brixton has to offer: the Ritzy Cinema and the restaurants and bars in Brixton Village. Hop on the subway to get to Victoria (8 minutes) for Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace, or 10 minutes to get to Oxford Circus for a spot of shopping or to enjoy the West End/Soho for theatres. There is a bus stop right opposite my apartment, with many buses going to central London: the 159 and the 3 go to Trafalgar Square and Big Ben. The 133 will take you to London Bridge, near Tower Bridge and to Liverpool Street, close to Brick Lane, and the 59 goes to Waterloo, the South Bank and the Tate Modern.
The local neighbourhood is also great if you don't want to commute:
Brixton is one of the most exciting neighbourhoods in London, this neighborhood’s energy emanates from the shops along Electric Avenue to the art galleries, local markets, and pop-up restaurants in Brixton Village Market.
The apartment is close to restaurants, shops and the cinema. Just 10 minutes walk to Brixton underground station, the Victoria line is the fastest: 8 min to Oxford street, 15 min to Kings Cross. I live a short walk to Brixton Village, and Brixton Market to buy fresh produce.
Balcony overlooking a park and a 3 minute walk to massive green area in Brockwell Park.
