We recently renovated our home, and you’ll notice custom carpentry and handmade details that match our midcentury furniture. The kitchen has tons of work space, a new induction oven, good cookware, and a stocked pantry. It’s my favorite room in the house.
We have a baby, and we have lots of amenities like a crib, high chair, changing table, and endless kids books. Besides the crib, we have a queen bed in the master bedroom, and two twin beds. Our couch is big and family-sized, and our vinyl collection is yours to peruse.
Remote workers, we have two office setups and fast internet. Street parking is never a problem. The house is semi-detached, at the end of a row, and has high ceilings and lots of light. There's a small backyard, but we prefer going to the parks or woods that are a 5 min walk away (more on that below).

We're a 5 min walk from the high street, and an 8 min walk to the train to center city Philadelphia. The neighborhood is known for being friendly and inclusive, and if you go for a stroll around dog-walking time, you’ll likely get some hellos 🙂.

Food! — I moonlight as a food writer and tour guide, and I love sharing recommendations. When you stay here, you’ll get a full set of personalized recs across the city. Here’s a few highlights close to our home:
5 min walk from: A cafe in a cute historic train station, an ice cream parlor, an Italian place with handmade pasta, a cocktail bar, and 2 gastropubs, one of which makes their own beer. Also a playground, a kid-friendly public library, a drugstore, and a supermarket.
10-25 min walk from: 2 cideries (!), more ice cream and cafes, more playgrounds, and Downtime, the city's best new bread bakery.
10 min drive from: Many more bakeries and coffee shops, very good barbecue, a food hall with top-notch Indian food, and 3 more breweries.
That's just around Mt. Airy. Philadelphia proper has endless exciting food options, including vibrant Vietnamese, Mexican, and Italian communities, and loads of kid-friendly museums.
