Welcome to our cozy duplex apartment! Our home is part of a renovated two-apartment farmhouse residence, and we live on the first and second floors. You'll share the property with a friendly family of four living on the ground floor. They have two lively boys (born in 2018 and 2020). Both apartments have seperate entries and gardens. Our home spans 190m² across two floors. On the first floor, there's a separate wing that includes a bedroom, a dedicated office, and a small bathroom with a toilet and shower. The spacious living room with a fireplace and large, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for relaxing or cooking up a storm. Plus, you have access to a private large terrace with spectacular views of the countryside. You may even be greeted by the local red kites as they soar and circle in the sky. It's a majestic sight to behold! Upstairs, you'll find a large bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub and a washing/drying machine, and two more rooms. One room can be used as an office or single/double bedroom, while the other is a perfect office space with a spectacular view of the shire (I use this as my working space). It is also a fully equipped music studio for recording and mixing. We can discuss fees if you want to use the room as a music studio. -> http://www.ostranges.ch Our home is adorned with numerous wooden elements, which means you'll occasionally hear the floor creaking on the upper level. As it is an old house, the insulation isn't top-notch, leading to warmer temperatures upstairs (up to 28 degrees Celsius) on really hot days in summer and you can hear the sound of children playing outside in the garden. However, in the winter, it is absolutely quiet and very warm, thanks to the many radiators in every room and the cozy fireplace. For remote workers, we have two to three dedicated office spaces with high-speed internet access (LAN and WLAN available) and big monitors. You can also use two printers/scanner (b/w) and we have two sitting/standing tables with ergonomic kybun standing mats. The close surroundings offer great walking hikes through a nature reserve. Usually you won't even meet anyone on this one-hour hike. There is also a small lake to swim in and the rivers Saane and Aare are just a short hike away. Mountains, hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and forests are all a short distance away (within one hour drive), as are our many historical towns and cities with their distinct architecture and local traditions. We live in a very small farming village that doesn't offer many amenities. The nearest town with everything you need (shopping, train station, dentist, vet, drugstore, restaurants, public swimming pool etc.) is just 4 km away and easily accessible by bus, car, bike or even walk. -> https://www.kerzers.ch/ Despite the peaceful and secluded setting, you're well-connected with public transport starting right in front of the house, linking you to the capital of Switzerland, Bern. Unwind on our private terrace and/or private garden after a day of work/adventures. We have a gas BBQ and fireplace ready for your outdoor dining experience. Wood is provided. This is the perfect spot for balancing work, outdoor activities, and relaxation. You'll have access to a mini van (Ford Tourneo Connect 2014), an e-bike, and a regular bike if you wish. We just need to check insurances and such beforehand. We take pride in our cozy and well-maintained home, and we would love to have guests who appreciate and respect our space.
