MOVING AROUND
In my neighbourhood (5 minutes walking), you have:
- A few restaurants and bars
- Golf course
- Tennis and padel courts
- Small supermarket
With a car or taxi, in 30 minutes or less you can reach many cool places:
- Many beaches and mountains to explore (great for hiking, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving and other outdoor activities)
- 3 medium-sized cities (Alicante, Elche and Benidorm) + many nice small villages (Altea, Guadalest, Villajoyosa...) for sightseeing, shopping, concerts, museums, nightlife, etc.
- Big airport & train station (affordable flights from many European cities)
Also, Valencia (big city with lots of nomads and expats) is 2 hours away by car, bus or train.
I recommend renting a car if you want to explore the area properly.
I'm in the outskirts of the city and public transport is very limited here (3-4 buses per day + extra connections needed for most places). You can take taxis/Uber/Cabify to go to the city (20 minutes) and airport (30 minutes). And you can use for free my 2 mountain bikes to explore the surroundings and go to the closest beaches, supermarket, etc. But you would need a car anyway to visit many cool beaches, mountains, little villages, etc.
There are usually cheap rental cars in Alicante's airport, but if you have trouble with this, I have a big car and an electric motorbike you could use (we would arrange it using a car-sharing platform to have proper insurance).
Feel free to ask me anything! :)
