We live in a charming Hawaiian-plantation style home with three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The house has vaulted ceilings, pine and bamboo floors and lots of windows -- a light, welcoming, comfortable space to relax in. Two out of three bedrooms are large and comfortable. Lots of windows in the living room and kitchen bring the lush Haiku yard inside. And we've just built a beautiful 12X12 deck for hanging out and eating under the stars. The primary bedroom has a tropical historic feel with double-hung windows looking out on lush foliage and a small patio with bench swing. Our two adult children's vacated bedrooms now serve as office space/guest rooms. The smaller room has a built in window-seat twin bed. The larger has an exercise nook with weight bench, a convertible futon couch, and desk. The futon couch is big enough for one adult or two children. We can also make room for a full-size air mattress.
