This house in the village of Polruan, Cornwall and faces the sea estuary to Fowey. The views are epic and constantly changing. Polruan and Fowey are both coastal and rural, surrounded by far reaching country side with many a gem to visit.
The house foot print is 60 square meters. There is a sitting room/living room downstairs which face the view. A sofa and two armchairs and a table for two, plus a wood and coal burner. The kitchen is next to the sitting room. There is a a door from the kitchen to the back hallway for coats and shoes. This hallway leads to the yard where we store logs and there is a shed to store paddle boards and a kayak etc. There is a staircase leading from the kitchen to the first floor. The bathroom, with a shower is a good size and above the kitchen. The double bedroom is above the sitting room and has a double bed, a desk, a wardrobe, shelving and a chest of draws. The bedroom also has the lovely view over to Fowey. Outside the front is a raised patio area with a table and two chairs. The coast path runs infront of the house. There are electric radiators in each room.
You can park your car a way away from the house. You can get to Polruan easily with access car and explore the area. If you do not have a car, you can reach Polruan by train and then by taxi.
Polruan is a small village with 500 or so residents. A popular holiday destination especially for walkers and holiday makers. Polruan and Fowey are sailing, boating, fishing communities, both villages are built on steep hills leading to the sea. Polruan village, is quiet, there is a small and successful shipbuilding business to the right of the harbour and two town beaches. You can swim off these beaches, launch your paddle board or walk down the pontoon to your tender to reach your boat of choice. These two beaches are picturesque yet not touristy. If you turn left out of our house along the coast path you can walk for 40 minutes along the lilting coast path to the dramatic Lantic Bay and onto the coastal villages Polperro and Looe. If you turn right out of our house along the coast path you can walk the Hall Walk to Fowey or walk down on to the quay and catch the passenger ferry, a few minutes ride to Fowey. A bustling tourist town with restaurants, cafes, pubs, art galleries and all the experiences a tourist town in Cornwall offers. One end of Fowey is Readymoney beach, in the summer this sunny beach is a fun and pretty place to be.
