A bright and comfortable 75 m² apartment in Laranjeiras, with a calm, welcoming feel. There’s a spacious bedroom with air conditioning, a living room with a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great gas-powered shower.
The apartment is on a very quiet street, slightly tucked away from the main roads, in a small residential building with only 10 apartments. Laranjeiras is one of those neighborhoods that still feels very local and residential while being well connected to the rest of Rio.
It’s about an 8-minute walk up a gentle hill, and around 8–12 minutes on foot to the nearest supermarket. On Saturdays, there’s a lovely street market at General Glicério, with fresh produce, food, and live chorinho music, one of my favorite little neighborhood traditions.
I’m currently looking for a place to live in Barcelona for a while, so I’m giving preference to longer-term mutual exchanges.
