SYDNEY ONLY – exchange We are currently only looking for a home exchange in Sydney, Australia, and won’t be able to respond to other requests. Our bright, mid-century inspired 2-bed London flat is a comfortable and peaceful base in a small modern building (2nd floor with lift). The space is quiet (we don’t hear neighbours), light-filled, and well laid out, with two equal double bedrooms, one bathroom, and a spacious living/dining area. A small balcony connects to the living space where we grow herbs and plants. Triple-aspect windows bring in beautiful light throughout the day (especially sunrise in spring/summer), with views towards Canary Wharf. The kitchen is fully equipped as we are keen cooks. The flat is incredibly well located in Shadwell (E1), with two train stations just 3–5 minutes’ walk away, giving quick access to central London in around 20–30 minutes. The Elizabeth Line also provides easy access to Heathrow Airport And London city airport is only 25 minutes away on the DLR. There are many buses nearby, and bike-sharing is readily available (we have spare helmets in the flat). Shops and a weekly local market are a short stroll away, with several fruit and veg sellers nearby. For those who enjoy walking, you can reach many of London’s best spots on foot: 15 min walk to Wapping (riverside pubs, Saturday food market) 15 min walk to Stepney City Farm (Saturday farmers market) 25 min walk to Brick Lane (famous Sunday market & 24-hour bagels) 30 min walk to Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Spitalfields & Shoreditch 45 min walk to Maltby Street Market or Borough Market ~1 hour walk to Tate Modern It’s a fantastic base for exploring London and beyond.
