Our Lovely 3-Room Apartment in Zurich city heart Our generous and spacious 3-room apartment is located in a very trendy and lively area of Zurich. There are lots of lovely cafés, bars and restaurants nearby, as well as parks and playgrounds. Zurich’s old town, the main train station, Lake Zurich and the River Limmat are all easy to reach. Most places in the city can be reached within around 20 minutes by public transport or by bicycle — and I have a bicycle that you are welcome to use. The Apartment The apartment was renovated a few years ago, while keeping much of the beautiful old-building charm that I love so much. There is lovely traditional wood panelling in the living room, which gives the apartment a very special atmosphere. I recently moved here with my daughter, so one of the bedrooms is currently her room. It is a lovely little room and especially convenient if you are travelling with children. I like to keep things simple and relatively minimalistic, but with an artistic and personal touch. Everything has its place, and I love creating a home that feels both aesthetic and cosy. The Living Room The living room is one of my favourite spaces in the apartment. It has beautiful wooden details on the walls, a red leather sofa and a large oak dining table that can also be used for working, drawing or playing. There is also a lovely balcony with a special rounded shape. It is a great place to sit, have a coffee and watch the lively Zurich street scene go by. Bedroom & Balcony My bedroom has a large and very comfortable queen-size bed and a beautiful large mirror that fits perfectly into the room. From the bedroom, you can see the large balcony connected directly to the kitchen, which makes the whole space feel wonderfully open and spacious. The balcony is around 10 m² and has a large table with plenty of room for eating, working outdoors, enjoying some fresh air or letting the kids play. The Kitchen I really love the kitchen. There is plenty of storage space, a large fridge and freezer, a dishwasher and everything you need for cooking. I cook a lot, so the kitchen is well equipped. There is also a beautiful oak table with two high chairs, which is perfect for breakfast, a quick meal or working with a coffee. There are plants throughout the apartment and also on the balconies, which add a lot of life and warmth to the space. Bathroom & Laundry The bathroom is quite spacious and has a bathtub where you can either take a relaxing bath or shower. There is a shared washing machine and dryer in the basement for everyone in the building. You simply need to reserve a time in the schedule. I will provide you with a chip that allows you to use the machines. There is also a coffee machine and a SodaStream that you are welcome to use. And of course, the tap water here is excellent — as you would expect in Switzerland! House Rules No smoking. No shoes inside the apartment, please. No parties. Please keep the apartment clean and treat it with care, as if it were your own home. Water the plants, that they will stay alive Most importantly, enjoy the space and make yourself at home! Exploring Zurich & Beyond One of the things I love about living here is how easy it is to get out into nature. Hiking is wonderful and very easy to organise from Zurich. You can simply walk or take public transport to the main station, hop on a train and be on your way to beautiful hiking trails and the mountains. There are countless possibilities for day trips and exploring the Swiss landscape. I hope you will enjoy the apartment and the neighbourhood as much as we do!
