Charming Loft Apartment in De Waterkant, Cape Town

Welcome to our character-filled loft in the heart of De Waterkant — a warm, industrial-style home with soaring double-volume ceilings, exposed brick and plenty of natural light. The open-plan living room and kitchen sit beneath a mezzanine bedroom with ensuite bathroom, while a small balcony gives you a lovely spot to step outside with a coffee or glass of wine. It’s compact, comfortable and full of personality — an easy Cape Town base with everything you need for a relaxed stay. We live in a little hidden pocket of De Waterkant, right in the heart of Cape Town. Our home opens onto a large courtyard which has a few offices around it during the week, but come weekends — and especially December — everyone disappears and it feels almost like your own private courtyard in the middle of the city. Best of all, there’s secure parking. The complex is access-controlled with 24-hour security and cameras, so it feels incredibly safe. There’s also a pool and a little café in the building — they’ll even deliver to the house. We walk almost everywhere. Battery Park is three minutes away; walk through it and you’re on the canals, which take you straight into the V&A Waterfront. The Sea Point Promenade is an easy bike ride away, and Kloof Street, the East City and Sea Point are all just a few minutes by car. We’re also ridiculously well connected: about three minutes from the highway, under 20 minutes from the airport, and around 20 minutes from Constantia. It’s one of those rare spots where Cape Town feels very easy.
