☀️ WELCOME TO MY LISBON HOME ☀️ Welcome to my home in Anjos, a bright and spacious top floor apartment with panoramic views over Lisbon. The heart of the apartment is the large open living area with kitchen, dining table and sofa bed. Thanks to the elevated position and big windows, you have incredible views over the city without even leaving the couch. From here, you can see some of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks, including Castelo de São Jorge, Cristo Rei, the 25 de Abril Bridge and the rooftops stretching all the way across the city. It’s especially beautiful in the late afternoon, when the light starts changing and the whole city turns golden. 🌿 PEACEFUL IN THE MIDDLE OF LISBON One of my favourite things about the apartment is how peaceful it is. Even though you are right in the middle of Lisbon, there is almost no traffic noise. In the mornings you can hear the birds, and the apartment feels surprisingly calm and tucked away from the city below. That contrast is one of the things that makes the place so special. You can step outside and be surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops and city life within minutes, then come home and feel like you have your own quiet retreat above Lisbon. 🌅 THE ROOFTOP One of the absolute highlights of the apartment is the rooftop terrace. You can head upstairs with a coffee in the morning, a glass of wine in the evening or simply sit there and take in Lisbon from above. The view is incredibly wide and open, across the historic centre, the castle, the river, the bridge and Cristo Rei in the distance. Sunset up here is probably my favourite thing about the apartment. On a clear evening, you can watch the sun slowly disappear over Lisbon while the city lights start coming on below you. It’s the kind of place where you go upstairs for five minutes and somehow end up staying for an hour. 🔥 PRIVATE TERRACE & BBQ In addition to the rooftop, the apartment has a large private terrace with a BBQ grill, perfect for long breakfasts, dinners outside or an evening barbecue. Lisbon has amazing weather for most of the year, so the outdoor spaces really feel like an extension of the apartment rather than something you only use occasionally. 📍 THE NEIGHBOURHOOD The apartment is right in Anjos, one of Lisbon’s most vibrant and interesting neighbourhoods. I love the area because it still feels like a real Lisbon neighbourhood while also having great cafés, restaurants, little bars, bakeries, yoga studios and independent shops all around. Anjos and neighbouring Intendente and Arroios are some of the most creative and multicultural parts of the city, but you are not staying in the middle of a tourist zone. You’ll find traditional Portuguese shops next to speciality coffee places and new restaurants, and there is always something happening within walking distance. Everything you need for everyday life is extremely close. Yoga studio around 1 minute walk Gym around 3 minutes walk Metro around 3 minutes walk Grocery stores around 3 minutes walk Local viewpoint around 5 minutes walk From here, it’s also very easy to walk towards Intendente, Mouraria, Graça, Baixa and the historic centre, or jump on the metro and get almost anywhere in Lisbon. You get the best of both worlds. You are very central, but you actually get to live in a neighbourhood rather than feeling like you are staying in a tourist district. 💛 WHAT I LOVE MOST For me, it’s really the combination of space, outdoor living, peace and the view. You can make breakfast in the kitchen while looking across Lisbon, work or relax on the sofa with the city in front of you, have friends over for a BBQ on the terrace and then head up to the rooftop to watch the sunset. Even after living here, there are still moments when I walk into the living room or go up to the roof and stop for a second because the view is just that beautiful. If you’re looking for a place where you can experience Lisbon properly while having your own peaceful retreat above the city, this is it.
