Spacious 2-room apartment near Zoo: 2 bedrooms, living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, plus a separate toilet. Bright rooms, fast WiFi. It's in a quiet, well-kept house in a calm residential street with no through traffic – a relaxed place to come home to, not a party flat, and we'd ask guests to treat it the same way. Tram stop a few minutes' walk away, the old town and the Rhine are about 5 minutes by tram or 20 on foot.
Basel:
Small enough to walk everywhere, big enough to be interesting: world-class art museums (Fondation Beyeler, Kunstmuseum, Tinguely), a medieval old town, swimming in the Rhine in summer, Christmas markets in winter. The city sits on the border of Switzerland, France and Germany – Alsace, the Black Forest and the Alps are all under an hour away. EuroAirport is 30 minutes by bus, Zurich airport 1,5 hour by train.
