Welcome to my cosy, colourful creative's home! I love art, so the whole place is full of it, and I'm a fan of plants, so there are quite a few of those, too. The layout of the flat is really convenient: There's a well equipped kitchen with a seating area and dishwasher, a small bathroom with a bathtub, a decent sized lounge with a piano, lots of books, a comfortable fold-out couch (sleeps 1), a small desk and the world's most comfortable armchair, a calm bedroom of a similar size with a double bed and a very green and sunny balcony that looks out onto the small side street I live on.
Most of Neukölln is loud and bustling and can be quite a handful, but the neighbourhood I live in – Rixdorf – is a lot quieter and much more easygoing. It has an interesting history, some very pretty architecture and, despite its calmer vibes, a lot going on: great bars, lovely cafes, an excellent vegan brunch spot, a Michelin star restaurant, great Middle Eastern takeaways and more. The little street I live on is flanked by a nice wine bar on one end (right next to a fantastic ice cream shop) and the beautiful Richardplatz with all its greenery on the other. Several neighbourhood parks are within easy walking distance. The flat is also within cycling distance of the Tempelhofer Feld and very well connected to the rest of Berlin via the Ringbahn (circle line) and U7 subway – you can reach most attractions in under 40 minutes door to door (which is average for Berlin).
It's important to note that I regularly catsit a friend's cat in my flat – he won't be around when you come, but if you're allergic, this probably isn't the place for you.
