Experience the Magic of Winter in Swedish Lapland (or see Stockholm, more info below). Welcome to my home in Jokkmokk, in the heart of Swedish Lapland — a perfect winter retreat available from September to May. Jokkmokk is a small, cozy, and welcoming town with some shops, cafés, and a few restaurants. Its a well known touristic destination and often described as the last outpost before the vast national parks and wilderness of Swedish Lapland. Despite its small size, the town has a strong cultural life and a unique Arctic atmosphere. My house is located in a quiet area in town, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, the bus station and the Ájtte Sami Museum. A short walk also takes you to Lake Talvatis, offering beautiful winter scenery and an outdoor gym. The house has two floors and includes five rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, great Wi-Fi, and free parking. There is a large terrace and backyard, ideal for grilling, relaxing, and enjoying the crisp Arctic air. You are also welcome to use our bicycles for free. The surrounding nature is stunning, with northern lights, star-bright nights, white snow, and reindeer often nearby. The area offers easy access to winter activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, winter hiking, and downhill and cross-country skiing. Getting here is easy: Fly to Stockholm Arlanda, take a domestic flight to Luleå Airport, and from there a shuttle bus directly to Jokkmokk. I’m open to house swaps from a couple of weeks up to several months, depending on timing and destination. If you’re looking for an authentic Arctic experience with comfort, culture, and stunning beutiful nature right outside your door, this is the place. STOCKHOLM I also have an apartment in Stockholm if Lapland feels a bit too far north or too adventurous, we can arrange a swap with my Stockholm apartment instead. It could also be possible to combine Jokkmokk and Stockholm in one exchange. The last photos in the listing are from Stockholm. The Stockholm apartment is located in cosy and trendy Sundbyberg, a safe and quiet area with excellent public transportation. The metro and commuter trains are within walking distance, and Stockholm city centre is only about 10 minutes away. The neighbourhood offers beautiful parks, lakes and green areas, as well as outdoor gyms, a nice beach and plenty of walking paths. Shopping malls, affordable bars and restaurants are just outside the door, and public transport connections make it easy to reach concert venues, football arenas and beaches in all directions. Strawberry Arena is within walking distance through a scenic park area with lakes. The apartment is a one-room apartment comfortable for single travellers or couples. It works very well for both holidays and remote work. It has a comfortable 140 cm bed, a TV ans a dedicated workspace with screen and fast Wi-Fi (150 Mbit). The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Several affordable supermarkets and bars are close by. Free car parking is available on the street just outside the building if you arrive by car, and I will show you exactly where. The area is calm and quiet, making it easy to relax and sleep well, while still being close to everything you need. Pizza, kebab, Thai food, sushi and many other options are only a short walk away. I am a social and friendly person and will be awailable to answer questions. I am happy to share tips and ideas about travelling, history, culture and life in Sweden. I have travelled to more than 40 countries and enjoy helping others plan their trips. The apartment can also be available for longer stays. Please send me a message if you are interested. With good communication we can easily sort out the details together. :) All the best / Tomas

It was my first experience with Tomas to make a swap. We have great communication beforehand and agreed to do non-simultanious swap. Despite I haven't stayed at his home yet I can write feedback about overall swap experience and his stay at my home. Tomáš very nice person and treated home very well. Additionally he helped with cat which we agreed to leave at home. Thank you very much for all of that. Looking forward to visit Sweden and stay at your home.
Such an experience! I can say only the best for Tomas' place. The location was perfect, quiet residential building, with super easy access to metro and buses, local stores and parks for walking and relaxation. You can really feel how locals live in Stockholm. We spent the most wonderful 5 days at Tomas' place, and I can give my best recommendations for the place. And what to say about Tomas. He was like a friend from the very beginning, such a warm and friendly person, willing to help and improve our stay in so many ways. I am really looking forward to hosting Tomas and make him feel warmly welcome at our place. Swaphouse experience - excellent!
This review is for Tomas' apartment located in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, Sweden: I am thrilled to write this review for Tomas after an incredible apartment-swapping experience in May. Initially, Tomas reached out to me and offered his lovely place in Lappis. It looked great, but it didn't fit my travel preferences as a solo traveler at that time. We had a very honest and candid exchange, after which he suggested his apartment in a really nice neighborhood about 9km away from Stockholm's Old Town (Gamla Stan). This area is very well connected via public transportation (metro/bus) and features awesome bike and driving paths. I'm very happy I took this chance, as I truly enjoyed his simple apartment. It had all the basic necessities, reliable Wi-Fi, and close access to stunning nearby ponds, outdoor free workout stations, and great bike trails.I also very much enjoyed the mall and the area in and around Nationalarenan, known as Strawberry Arena, as well as my sightseeing in and around Gamla Stan. The Changing of the Guard at Stockholm's Royal Palace is an absolute must and not to be missed.Overall, I had an excellent experience. I found Tomas to be a great communicator, reliable, and trustworthy. We had a great connection, and we have already agreed to repeat our initial swap whenever we get tired of our respective places. Needless to say, I highly recommend Tomas and his place in Stockholm!
