Saranda is an ideal base for any adventurous humans ready and willing to explore other wonders of Albania and nearby Greece (Corfu Island is 30min away by ferry and other land points). For example, the three islands of Ksamil (labeled as the Maldives of Europe), UNESCO Ancient Butrint, and other rocky but pristine beaches with the bluest of blue waters nearby (DUA LIPA has her private villa :-)), the Blue Eye (a water spring and natural phenomenon), etc. Additionally, Gjirokastra, Permet, Korca, Berat, Himare, Dhermi, Vlora, etc. are worth a visit and not far.
