THE SPACE Your own private room in a classic Roman flat located in the heart of San Lorenzo – the most authentic, student-friendly, and vibrant neighborhood in Rome. This is not a touristy area – it's where real Romans live, eat, and hang out. THE ROOM Bright, cozy private bedroom with a comfortable bed Wardrobe, desk, and window overlooking the main street THE APARTMENT (shared spaces) We are 3 flatmates total. You'll share the apartment with: One American flatmate – friendly, respectful, easygoing One Italian flatmate – local, knows all the best spots in Rome Shared spaces include: Spacious living room with sofa, dining table, and lots of natural light Fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge, kettle, moka pot for coffee) One shared toilet + one shared shower room – these are shared only with the Italian flatmate (2 people total). The third American flatmate has his own private bathroom and does not use the shared ones. THE NEIGHBORHOOD – SAN LORENZO San Lorenzo is Rome's most authentic, bohemian, and student-packed quarter. It's not a postcard neighborhood – it's better. Here's what's within a 5-10 minute walk: 🍝 Incredible food – some of Rome's best pasta, pizza al taglio, and affordable trattorias. Try Pasta Chef or Tram Tram 🍻 Nightlife – dozens of craft beer bars, wine bars, and aperitivo spots. Birra+ and Luppolo Station are local favorites 📚 La Sapienza University – steps away, which is why the area is full of young people and energy 🎨 Street art everywhere – San Lorenzo is famous for its murals and alternative culture 🚆 Termini Station – a 10-minute walk or 5-minute tram ride (Tram 3 or 19). From there you can reach anywhere in Rome or Italy 🚶 Colosseum & Monti – 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by metro (Vittorio Emanuele station) 🛒 Supermarket, bakeries, fresh produce market – all within 2 minutes GETTING AROUND Tram 3 & 19 stop 2 minutes from the door – takes you directly to Termini or Trastevere Metro line A (Vittorio Emanuele) – 8-minute walk Bus lines to all major sights: Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Vatican HOUSE RULES (simple & respectful) No smoking inside (balcony/courtyard is fine) No loud parties (it's a home, not a hostel – but casual drinks and hanging out are welcome) Respect the shared spaces – clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom Quiet hours after 11 PM (thin Roman walls!)
