Our home is a spacious and bright apartment with high ceilings, original wooden floors and beautiful decorative stucco details. It’s filled with natural light and decorated in a clean, Scandinavian style, while still retaining the charm and character of the historic building. The apartment is on the top floor. One side overlooks a lively street, with plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants right outside the door. The other side faces a beautiful and peaceful residential area known as the “English” and “Icelandic” Quarter, filled with charming historic villas and leafy streets. The location is one of the things we love most about our home. You’re close to everything, while still having a quiet and residential area right on your doorstep. The metro is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore all of Copenhagen and beyond. We’re also within easy reach of Amager Strandpark, Copenhagen’s beautiful beach park, which is perfect for a seaside walk, a swim or a relaxing afternoon by the water. Freetown Christiania is nearby too — a unique and creative part of Copenhagen that’s definitely worth exploring. In short, it’s a great base for experiencing Copenhagen like a local, with cafés, restaurants, the city, the beach and plenty of character all within easy reach. The apartment has two bedrooms: A master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a children’s room with a raised single bed. The children’s room also has an extra mattress that can be used as a separate single bed. In addition, one of the living rooms has a comfortable sofa that folds out into a double bed, providing space for two more guests. The two living rooms are connected, but can be separated by closing the door between them. Altogether, the apartment can comfortably accommodate up to six people.
