An artist’s loft with skylights, plants & vinyl

Welcome to my 60 m² home, an artist’s loft in a former factory turned residential complex. It’s a creative, sociable setting, with a lively brewery at the entrance that draws a young crowd. Inside, you’ll find exposed beams, warm wood, big roof windows and plenty of plants, alongside guitars, records and vintage furniture. The afternoon sunlight through the skylights is one of my favourite things about living here. The apartment is arranged over two levels. Upstairs, the open mezzanine has a double bed beneath the sloping roof and a dedicated study area, with a desk and monitor for working or spending time on your own projects. Downstairs, the living area has a comfortable sofa, a TV and a turntable with a hi-fi setup for listening to vinyl. There’s also a guitar amplifier: music is very much part of the home. The kitchen has wooden worktops, a hob and an oven, with a dining table nearby for meals at home. Linate Airport is less than 10 minutes away by car, and the area is connected to Milan by the M4 metro line. A supermarket is around a 15-minute walk away, and there are large parks nearby when you feel like a long walk or some time outdoors. The sleeping area is on an open mezzanine overlooking the living room, so light and sound travel between the two floors. It’s a home full of personal touches, well suited to a solo traveller or a couple who enjoys an open space with a creative atmosphere.
