*Photos of the kitchen and bath will be added later. Pardon the boxes and clutter under the desks as I have recently moved and downsized from a larger home; there will be about 90% less things and they will be in drawers or tidy storage bins. *
It's a 10 minute walk to downtown Portsmouth, NH, a 5 min walk to cozy coffee shop. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, and other shops downtown. The beach is 10 minutes away and downtown Portsmouth is at the mouth of the Pisataqua River with nice waterfront views.
My 2nd floor quiet room is a combined office/bedroom with access to air purifiers, noise machines, and an essential oil diffuser. There is enough space for a good yoga practice in front of a window overlooking the garden and my plants on the windowsill. The workspace is a 2 monitor adjustable standing desk with Herman Miller aeron chair. If you bring an external bootable drive (via usb) you will have access to a powerful desktop PC which I use for everything from gaming, to GIS mapping analysis, Rhino3D, rendering and graphics work. (specs available upon request) There is a large vintage (circa 1950's-ish) drafting desk good for laying out projects, drawing, crafts, etc. There are also cutting mats available to use.
The upstairs bathroom has a shower, the downstairs bathroom and large common area is shared with the house. The kitchen (also downstairs) is shared with 3 other people, one of which does not cook, and the others that cook infrequently. It is kept tidy. **While there are no pets allowed in my room, there are 2 well behaved dogs and one cat in the house. The cat is never seen and you will see the other dogs when their owners take them for a walk and sometimes to say hi to whoever is around.**
In the dry basement (kept <50% humidity in summer and usually around 20-30% in the winter) there is a workout area with some weights, bowflex, and exercise bike. There are also plenty of other gyms in the are to join within a 5-10 min drive.
The house is unique both architecturally and culturally. I'll let the website describe it: https://411middlestreet.org/
Blow up Paddleboards are available for you to use and here are many outdoor activities within a 20 min drive. Within an hour drive there are a couple mountains/hills to hike--some with firetower views. Within a 2 hour drive there are the white mountains with skiing, hiking, and all that jazz. Speaking of jazz, there is a club downtown (Jimmy Jazz Club) which has terrific bands play.
Availability: I do not have availability yet but I will post when I do. I am open to planning ahead. Most of my free time is in the summer.
