You get the city when you want it and silence when you don't. Activities Slovenia's whole trick is that it's small in the best possible way. From the front door: Lake Bled and Bohinj: 1 hour. Bled for the postcard, Bohinj for the lake you can actually swim across in summer. Slovenian coast (Piran, Portorož, Koper): 1 hour. Triglav National Park, Soča Valley, Logarska dolina: 1 to 1.5 hours. endless hiking options, river so green it looks edited, the kind of valleys people fly across the world to see.
