Discover the perfect blend of urban living and green parks in this modern 2-bedroom apartment located in the vibrant Bos & Lommer district of Amsterdam. Our 95 m2 apartment features a large light-filled living room with views of the canal and park below. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and plenty of utensils needed for cooking adventures. As it’s a new apartment building (built in 2008) it’s well insulated from sound and makes for a peaceful atmosphere. The two comfortable bedrooms each have fully dedicated workspaces, equipped with a powerful mesh-routing system that ensures a high-speed Wi-Fi connection. Both bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and entrances onto the spacious private balcony overlooking the park. The large bedroom features a “king” size bed with a medium-firm mattress (and mattress heaters for those nippy nights)! The smaller bedroom features a “queen” size sofa bed that we’ve been told by guests is surprisingly comfortable. We have a modern washer and dryer in the kitchen pantry, and dishwashing machine in the kitchen. The apartment is on the 4th floor and accessible by an elevator. We also have a designated parking space in the covered and gated parking garage located below the apartment building (also accessible by elevator). Proximity to Center: The apartment is located within the “center ring” of Amsterdam and is extremely well connected to the historical center of Amsterdam. There are multiple buses and trams that stop right outside the apartment building and will take you directly to the historical “canal belt” of Amsterdam within a 15 minute ride, or 10 minutes by bike. We also offer our two bikes on loan so you can discover the city like a local on two wheels! Proximity to Parks: Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to multiple parks: Erasmuspark is across the street (2 minute walk), Bos en Lommer Plantsoen is directly behind the apartment building (<1 minute walk) and Rembrandtpark is a few blocks south (5 minute walk). All parks allow for dogs to be off-leash so we’re in an ideal location for easy dog walks. The Neighborhood: The neighborhoods of Bos en Lommer and Baarsjes (the apartment sits between both) are a mix of residential vibes and artisan cafes, bakeries and restaurants. It’s quiet at night and vibrant by day. The closest cafe is at the street corner (<3 minute walk), and that same street houses 4 grocery stores, multiple greengrocers, bakeries, weekly farmers markets, multiple home goods stores, post offices…essentially everything you need for your stay is within a 5 minute walk! Our home is not just a place to sleep, but a chance to experience Amsterdam's unique blend of local residential life, park greenery and the best cafes / bakeries that Amsterdam has to offer. You'll be close to the city's heart, all the shopping and services you need, yet nestled in a verdant enclave that offers peace and relaxation. Your tranquil city haven awaits!

This was my first house swap between my farmhouse in Gozo and an apartment in Amsterdam. I was meeting with my son to celebrate his 18th birthday and we wanted to live like a local and be able to cook if we wished from home. From the on start of communicating, everything just fell into place - from the initial contact and video call to then sharing tips of where to dine out, travel advice etc as well as great instructions about the property. We were absolutely delighted with the apartment which was spacious, comfortable, clean and perfectly situated overlooking the canal. In between playing tourists and visiting the sights including Van Gogh museum, Anne Franks house, cycling tour of Amsterdam and the icing on the cake for my son, on his actual birthday, the Heineken Museum! I was able to work from the apartment easily. We had the best time ever and it always felt great coming back to a home. Thanks to Tobias and Kat for this wonderful house swap. I can't wait to do another! Totally recommend this site!

We had an amazing experience in Amsterdam! It was our first home swap, and we met Tobi and Kat the day before to hand over the keys and get to know each other before heading to Amsterdam. The communication was clear and transparent throughout the process. We really appreciated their flexibility, as they allowed us to use their kitchen utensils, towels, bed sheets, and everything else we needed. They were very organized, providing us with all the necessary instructions for the home and even sending us a list of recommended bars and cafes! Their apartment was super cozy, with a lovely view. It was spacious, clean, well-isolated, and quite modern, and the internet worked perfectly. I especially fell in love with the thread moss they had on the wall :) Tobi and Kat were always available for any questions we had, and they made us feel secure and comfortable throughout the whole process. They're wonderful people, and if we lived in the same city, we'd definitely invite them over for dinner and fun gatherings!
